This incident disturbs Sudhakar, an elderly man, who lives in the same building with his wife and two college going daughters, Geeta, 20, and Charu, 18. All the four of them suffer pangs of guilt. Both Geeta and Charu have lovers, unknown to their parents. Will they also end up like Kamla?
Their mother looks back to her past.
When she was fifteen years old, she too had a crush on her elderly tutor. She made an attempt to end her life by jumping into a river when the teacher refused to accept her love. Sudhakar looks back to his turbulent youth... he had to take his pregnant girlfriend, Anju, to a doctor for an abortion. he never married that girl. He had some other relationships too. His present wife does not know of his past. The feeling of guilt envelopes the family. Was it necessary for Kamla to commit suicide when all the others around her are not better than her?
